Pokémon Legends Z-A comes out on October 16, 2025

That is right! We have finally gotten the release date for Legends Z-A. It releases on October 16, 2025, which is a Thursday and not a Friday. This is the first time in a while that a Pokémon mainline game releases on a Thursday. The last time this happened was way back in 2006, when Diamond and Pearl first released in Japan.

There will be two versions on launch: one for SW1 and one for SW2. If you get the SW1 version and later get a Switch 2, then there is a package upgrade for the game available.

Nothing more was announced. According to the Japanese Pokemon website, the game will cost between $50-60 for SW1, and for SW2, it will be $60-70. Prices listed were without tax.
