Water Festival

A new event for Pokémon GO has been announced, and it is Water Festival. It features the debut of Tatsugiri. The event runs from July 15th, 10 am until July 20th, 08:00 pm.

What to expect

Which Tatsugiri form you get depends on where in the world you are. If you are in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, then you get Curly Form. If you are in the Americas, then you get the Droopy form. If you are in Asia-Pacific, then you get Stretchy Form. During the event, rainy lure modules will last two hours, you get increased candy for Nice or better throws, and you have an increased chance of getting Shiny Staryu and Shiny Tirtouga.

Wild encounters

During the event, you will find Squirtle, Slowpoke, Krabby, Staryu*, Magikarp, Marill, Barboach, Clamperl, Buizel, Finneon, Wimpod, Lanturn, Feebas, Palpitoad, and Tirtouga*. * means boosted odds.

Raids

Shellder, Ducklett, and Tatsugiri will appear in 1 star raids. While in 3 star raids, you will find Kingler, Gyarados, Lapras wearing a scarf, and Azumarill. All can be shiny except Tatsugiri.

Research

There will be a timed research that gives out rainy lure module, a pose, and encounters with event pokemon including Gyarados and Lapras.

Collection Challenge

There will be collection challenges that give out XP, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
