Scattered in The Winds

The next event in Pokemon Go has been announced, and it is Scattered in The Winds. It runs from Feb 18th at 10:00pm/10:00 local time and ends on Feb 20th 08:00pm/20:00 local time. The event features the debut of the shiny version of the Scatterbug line.

What to expect during the event

During the event you will get 2x experience or 5x times if it is the first spin of the day from pokestops. You can open 40 gift a day or 60 if you got the ticket for Eggs-pedition that was purchasable during the start of the month.

There will be field research that gives out Rare candy and event encounters. You can buy a timed research as well for $5 or what it is converted to your currency. The timed research will give out 16,500 stardust, 3 rare candies, an event pose and event encounters. There will be a collection challenge that gives out stardust, experience and an encounter with Scyther.

Encounters in the wild

The following pokemon will spawn more frequently during the event. Those with * can be shiny when encountered, while those with ** have boosted odds:

3. Spearow *

4. Wurmple *

5. Starly *

A lucky encounter!

During the event, the amount of lucky pokemon you can get from trades increase from 25 to 35 and will stay that way permanently. If you got a pokemon in your storage from all the way back in 2019, then it will guaranteed be a lucky pokemon until the limit is reached.

Different Vivillon forms

Depending on where in the world you are, you get a different form than other people from your post cards. So if you want a different form of Vivillon, then you need a friend that lives from a different place in the world. Check the map below to see where each form spawns
