Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Garchomp 7 Star Raid Guide

The latest 7-star raid is out, and it is Garchomp with Ground tera type. It runs from May 23rd, Midnight UTC, until May 25th, 11:59 pm/23:59 UTC. There will be a second run the following week during the same timeframe

Notes:

You can only catch one per savefile, meaning you can not catch more Garchomp from the raid. Garchomp will have perfect IVs in all stats and the mightiest mark, which only 7 star raid mons have. You can not shiny hunt it, as it is coded never to appear shiny.

How to get the raids on your map

1. Go to Poke Portal, then Mystery Gift

2. Click on Poke Portal News, then connect to the Internet

3. After a while, you will get a pop-up saying you are up to date

4. Check your map and look for Tera raids with sparkles around them

Blissey Raids return during the second week, with a lot of candy and Tera shards.

How to defeat Garchomp

Here is the setup to defeat Ground Tera Garchomp:

Sinistcha @ Big Root

Ability: Heatproof

Tera Type: Grass

IVs: All except Atk

EVs: 252 Def / 252 Sp.Atk / 4 HP

Modest Nature

- Matcha Gotcha (Evo)

- Nasty Plot (TM140)

- Iron Defense (TM104)

- Giga Drain (level up)

Intimidate user makes the raid easier. The ideal NPC combo is an Intimidate NPC, Arboliva, and Drifblim

Turn 1-2: Iron Defense. Turn 3: Matcha Gotcha. Turn 4-6: Nasty Plot

Turn 7-8: Giga Drain Turn 9-10: Tera Matcha Gotcha. It should remove our stats and ability here

Turn 11-12: Iron Defense Turn 13: Giga drain for full health-ish. Turn 14: Iron Defense

Turn 15: Matcha Gotcha. It should remove its negative stats here. Turn 16: Nasty Plot

Turn 17+: Matcha Gotcha or Giga Drain
