Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Salamence 7 Star Raid Guide

The latest 7-star raid is out, and it is Salamence with Flying tera type. It runs from April 18th, Midnight UTC, until April 20th, 11:59 pm/23:59 UTC. There will be a second run the following week during the same timeframe

Notes:

You can only catch one per savefile, meaning you can not catch more Salamences from the raid. Salamence will have perfect IVs in all stats and the mightiest mark, which only 7 star raid mons have. You can not shiny hunt it, as it is coded never to appear shiny.

How to get the raids on your map

1. Go to Poke Portal, then Mystery Gift

2. Click on Poke Portal News, then connect to the Internet

3. After a while, you will get a pop-up saying you are up to date

4. Check your map and look for Tera raids with sparkles around them

Blissey Raids return during the second week, which has a lot of candy and Tera shards.

How to defeat Salamence

Here is the setup to defeat Flying Tera Salamence:

So, Salamence is mainly a special attacker in this raid, but it also has some physical attacks like earthquake, which kills most of the Pokémon we can use against it. With that, we want a Pokémon that does super effective damage against it while taking little or no damage from earthquake. So we need a Pokémon with the ability Levitate and electric typing. With that knowledge, this is the setup for the raid:

Eelektross @ Shell Bell Ability: Levitate Tera Type: Electric EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk

• Gastro Acid

• Acid Spray

• Eerie Impulse

• Thunderbolt

It can be good to have an intimidate NPC when doing this raid, makes it easier.

Turn 1: Gastro Acid. Turn 2: Eerie Impulse. Turn 3-5: Acid Spray (In the middle here, it will activate its shield, and you may be low on health. If you are low on health (red health before 3rd acid spray), then do a heal cheer). Turn 6-9: Tera with Thunderbolt. Here, the shield will be removed, and it will remove its negative stats. Turn 10-11: Acid Spray. Turn 12+: Thunderbolt.

If you remove the shield at turn 8, then skip the next bolt and use acid spray
