Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Quaquaval 7 Star Raid Guide

  • 14. mars 2025
  • 2 min lesing

The latest 7 star raid is out, and it is Quaquaval with water tera type. This means you can finally get the Quaxly line in any balls.

Notes:

You can only catch one per savefile, meaning you can not catch more Quaquavals from the raid. Quaquaval will have perfect IVs in all stats and the mightiest mark, which only 7 star raid mons have. You can not shiny hunt it as it is coded to never appear shiny.

How to get the raids on your map

  1. Go to Poke Portal, then Mystery Gift

  2. Click on Poke Portal News, then connect to the Internet

  3. After a while, you will get a pop-up saying you are up to date

  4. Check your map and look for tera raids with sparkles around them

How to defeat Quaquaval

Quaquaval is a bit of hard pokemon to go up against due to Moxie and Aqua Step. We want to remove Moxie, so it doesn't get boost in atk very fast. So we need either a skill swap mon or a gastro acid mon. Most gastro acid mons are grass type, but Quaquaval got both Brave Bird and Ice Spinner. So that basically takes out gastro acid, and leaves us with Skill Swap. There is a pokemon that resists most of its move, and got Skill Swap. Here is the setup we are using in this guide: Slowbro @ Shell Bell

Ability: Oblivious

Tera Type: Psychic

EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA

Modest Nature

IVs: 0 Atk

  • Skill Swap

  • Iron Defense

  • Nasty Plot

  • Stored Power

Turn 1: Skill Swap (Get Moxie away from Qua). Turn 2: Iron Def. Turn 3: Stored Power

Shortly before you can do your 4th turn, it will reset your stats. Turn 4-6: Iron Def

Turn 7-9: Nasty Plot. Turn 10+: Stored Power. Tera when you can right away to deal more damage.

That is how to defeat Quaquaval. Catch it which ever ball you want. Until next time.
