Pokemon Go: Bug Out

The next announced event in Pokemon Go is Bug Out, featuring the debut of Sizzlipede, the Radiator Pokemon, and its evolution Centiskorch, the Radiator Pokemon. They are fire/bug-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 8 in the Galar Region. It runs from Mar 26th at 10:00 am/10:00 local time and ends on Mar 30th at 08:00 pm/20:00 local time.

What to expect during the event

You will get 2x XP and increased candy for catches with Nice or better throws. Sizzlipede is attracted to Lure Modules, so make sure to use those. If enough Pokemon is caught by a single module, then additional Pokemon will appear on the Pokestop.

Wild Encounters

During the event, Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, Nymble, and Cutiefly will appear in the wild. Wurmple and Venipede have boosted shiny odds.

Raid battles

In 1 star raids, you will find Scyther, Nincada, and Sizzlipede. In 3 star raids, you will find Beedrill, Scizor, and Kleavor. All can be shiny except for Sizzlipede.

Research

There will be field research that can give out mega energy, Scatterbug candy, and encounters. During the event, there will be a timed research to get a Lure Module and encounters with Shedinja, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor. As well a paid timed research, which costs $2 or what it gets converted to your currency, and it will have rewards such as a Lure Module, 2 premium battle passes, and encounters with Heracross, Kleavor, and Sizzlipede. Catch and Evolve collection challenges will come as well, and will give out Stardust, XP, and encounters.

Scolipede-themed boots and jacket will be in the game store.
