Meowscarada 7 Star Raid

7 star raids are finally back, and first one out is Meowscarada with grass tera type. This means you can finally get the Sprigatitio line in any balls outside.

Notes:

You can only catch one per savefile, meaning you can not catch more Meowscaradas from the raid. Meowscarada will have perfect ivs in all stats and the mightiest mark, which only 7 star raid mons have. You can not shiny hunt it as it is coded to never appear shiny.

How to get the raids on your map

1. Go to Poke Portal, then Mystery Gift

2. Click on Poke Portal News, then connect to Internet

3. After a while, you will get a pop-up saying you are up to date

4. Check your map and look for tera raids with sparkles around them

How to defeat Meowscarada

First we need a pokemon that can do damage against Grass types and avoid not taking too much damage back from its moves. Based on the moves it has, a steel type is best to use. Steel does neutral damage to grass, so we still need a typing that can do damage. If we add Bug to the mix, aka a bug/steel type pokemon, then we still have resistance and can do damage back. So we are going to use a Scizor with the following setup:

Scizor @ Shell Bell

Ability: Swarm

Level: 100

Tera Type: Bug

EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def

Adamant Nature

• Iron Defense (Lvl up)

• Swords Dance (Lvl up)

• Lunge (TM185)

We want perfect IVs in all stats expect sp. atk, so that we can still live and do a lot of damage. Due to how raids work, we have to select moves properly or else it could mean you get defeated. Here is what moves you should select at each turn:

Turn 1-4: Lunge. After this, its shield should come up and it should remove your boosted stats.

Then we want to use Iron Def 3 times, so that we are on 6+ def. After that we want to boost our attack once with Swords Dance before we launch another Lunge to gain back some health. Then we do SD twice, so that we are at 6+ attack as well. So at this point, we should be mid-low HP with 6+ in both attack and def. We now want to teralize Scizor to max out our attack and use Lunge until the raid is over. Depending on your teammates (NPCs), it should take about 3 Lunges before it is down and out. Thats it, you have defeated Meowscarada and can now catch it with any ball you want.
