Memories in Motion

The next Pokémon GO Season has been fully detailed. This season, Memories in Motion, runs from March 3rd through June 2nd. With this season, event pacing will be adjusted to a regular schedule, and weekend events will all run on Saturdays. As well, there will be daily bonuses from midnight to midnight each day.

Debut Pokemon

Orbeetle & Gigantamax Pikachu will be introduced to the game. Guessing Blipbug and Dottler will also make their debut, since they are the pre-evolutions of Orbeetle.

Research & Weekly Challenges

During this season, Double-Time Sundays will have Lure Modules and Incense last twice as long. On Mondays, you will get 2* GO Points from Pass Tasks for both monthly and event GO Passes. Tuesdays will have PokéStop Showcases with up to 20 different categories. Wednesdays will have Raid Hours. Thursdays will have GO Battle Thursdays, which increase the amount of sets you can play a day and increase the reward Stardust to up to 48. Fridays are Friendship Fridays with two Special Trades on the day and an increased chance of a Lucky Trade, as well as a 10% Reduction in the cost of trades and 2 guaranteed Candy XL. All Wild Pokémon and Shadow Pokémon of species that have had their Shiny introduced into the game will be able to be Shiny in encounters, regardless of whether they are evolved. There will be a Special Research throughout the season, Pressure Rising, which will give players a chance to get Volcanion. If they previously got Volcanion, they will get Candy instead. Gyarados, Honedge, Dhelmise, Sinistea, Duraludon, and Dreepy will be in Research Breakthroughs.
