The newest outbreak event has been announced, and they have boosted shiny odds to 1/200 or 0.5%. The theme is Ice Type.
Date, Time, and Placement
The outbreaks go live on Monday, August 4th, at midnight UTC and last until 23:59/11:59 pm UTC on August 17th.
Paldea
In Paldea, you will find Frigibax outbreaks. It spawns on anything deemed as land. This can be anywhere on a mountain, desert, grass area, etc.
Kitakami
In Kitakami, you will find Snorunt outbreaks. Its spawn area is the same as Frigibax, but in Kitakami only.
Blueberry
In Blueberry, you will find Cubchoo outbreaks. Its spawn area is the same as Frigibax, but at Blueberry only.
How to get the outbreaks on your map
Go to Poke Portal, then Mystery Gift
Click on Poke Portal News, then connect to the Internet
After a while, you will get a pop-up saying you are up to date
Check your map and look for yellow sparkle outbreaks
