How To Get Shiny Meltan from Home

After the Home maintenance, two new gifts for completing Game dexes were given out and one of them was Shiny Meltan. This is how to get it.

Before starting

Make sure that you got at least one of the games for the dex, in this case either Let's Go Pikachu or Let's Go Eevee, or both. If you got both, then make sure to get a second switch (unless you already got one) or you would need to find a trade partner for the trade evolutions. When it comes to the fossils and you got both games, then just grab the helix fossil in the first game and then the dome fossil in the other game. Dump them once in Home and then evolve them to their final stage and dump them again. Lastly make sure you got Home installed on the switches and your phone. Make sure the phone version is using the right account or you would need to delete and reinstall the app.

How to get the gift

Here is how to get the gift after collecting the pokemon and you are ready to dump them in Home.

  1. Dump all 150 pokemon from the games (Unsure on which pokemon is in the dex, then look under for the Box Section to learn which one)

    1. They must be from Let's go, or they will not count for the dex

    2. You do not need dump everyone at the same time.

  2. After dumping them into Home, save and exit out of the app on the switch

    1. For safety sake, start a game so that Home doesn't think you are already logged in on another device. Only need to get to the start screen. After that, you can close the game

  3. Open the app on your phone and click on your account in the tab "Your Room"

  4. Scroll down to the Kanto Pokedex

    1. It should have a red ! and a crown if it is completed

  5. Click on the dex, and Grand Oak will pop up and say some things. After a few texts, he will give you the gift

  6. Go back to "Your Room" and click on the green button at the bottom

  7. Click on Mystery Gift, then Gift Box and then scroll until you find "Game Pokedex Completion Commemoration No. 4!"

  8. Now, Shiny Meltan will appear in the first box that got space in it
