Growing Up

The next announced event in Pokemon Go is Growing Up. It runs from May 2nd at 10:00 am/10:00 local time and ends on May 7th at 08:00 pm/20:00 local time.

What to expect (Things might change)

During the event, you will get 2x hatch candy and 2x XP from evolving Pokemon. There is an increased chance of hatching a shiny Wimpod, as well an increased chance to get shiny Magikarp, shiny Swablu and shiny Wimpod in the wild. XXS and XXL pokemon have an increased chance of appearing as well.

Wild Spawns

During the event, you will Magikarp, Wailmer, Swablu, Foongus, Dedenne, Cutiefly, Wimpod, Rookidee, and Nymble in the wild.

Eggs

During the event, in 2km eggs, you will find Happiny, Riolu, and Wimpod. In 5km eggs, you will find Mime Jr. And lastly in 10km eggs, you will find Toxel. All can be shiny.

Research

During the event, there will be a paid timed research for $4,99 or what it gets converted to your currency. In said research, you will get an incubator, 15 Pinap Berries, 3k Stardust, an event-themed pose and encounters with event-themed pokemon, including Magikarp, Swablu, Lucario, Wimpod, Tandemaus, and more. There will be a collection challenge as well that gives out XP, Stardust, and an encounter with Tandemaus.
