Final Strike: GO Battle Week

The next announced event in Pokémon Go is Final Strike: Go Battle Week, featuring the debut of Urshifu. It runs from May 21st at 10:00 am/10:00 local time and ends on May 27th at 08:00 pm/20:00 local time.

What to expect

During the event, you will get 2x XP from winning raid battles, and there is an increased chance of getting shiny Meditite, shiny Stunky, and shiny Mareanie.

How to Evolve Kubfu

To evolve Kubfu into Urshifu, you would need 200 Kubfu Candy and defeat either 30 water raids or 30 dark raids. If you do water raids, you get Rapid Strike Urshifu. If you do dark raids, you get Single Strike Urshifu.

Wild Encounters

You will find Mankey, Seel, Galarian Zigzagoon, Meditite, and Froakie during the event. Deino and Nickit are rare spawns. All can be shiny except for Nickit.

Raids

During the event, you will find Carvanha, Stunky, and Mareanie in 1 star raids. While in 3 star raids, you will find Lapras, Hisuian Samurott, and Bombirdier. All can be shiny.

Research

Might and Mastery special research will get its last tasks, which can give you Kubfu candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with special backgrounds. During the event, there will be a free timed research, which gives you Rare Candy, Kubfu Candy, encounters with event-themed Pokémon with special backgrounds, and more! There will also be a paid timed research, which gives out two premium battle passes, 4 lucky eggs, one max particle pack, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and more! The Fuzzy Buddy research will return for those who have not bought it/gotten it before. People can get it as early as Monday, 19th, 10:00 am/10:00 local time.
