Crown Clash

The next announced event in Pokemon Go is Crown Clash, featuring the debut of Kingambit, the Big Blade Pokemon, and Nidoqueen and Nidoking wearing a crown. Kingambit is a dark/steel type Pokemon introduced in Generation 9 in the Paldea Region. It runs from May 10th at 10:00 am/10:00 local time and ends on May 18th at 08:00 pm/20:00 local time.

What to expect

During the event, you can get King's Rock from Slowpokes, and there will 2x XP from evolving pokemon. Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Slowpoke, Combee, and Litleo got boosted shiny chance. Kingambit can be gotten by defeating 15 dark or steel type Pokemon in raid battles while Bisharp is your buddy.

Wild Spawns

During the event, you will find Slowpoke, Slakoth, Piplup, Snivy, Pawniard, and Litleo.

Raid

During the event, you will find Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard in 1 star raids. While in 3 star raids, you will find Nidoking and Nidoqueen.

Research

During the event, there will be a collection challenge that gives you an encounter with Pawniard. If you are level 31 and above, then you get an extra Candy XL for evolutions.
