Beloved Buddies

The next event in Pokemon Go is Beloved Buddies, and it features the debut of Dhelmise, the Sea Creeper pokemon. It is a ghost/grass type pokemon that was introduced in Generation 7 in the Alola Region. It runs from Feb 11th at 10:00pm/10:00 local time and ends on Feb 15th 08:00pm/20:00 local time.

What to expect during the event

During the event, you will have 2x catch experience and you will get 500 stardust more when catching the following pokemon:

1. Diglett

2. Slowpoke

3. Shellder

4. Dunsparce

5. Cutiefly

6. Fomantis

There will be field research that has Tandemaus encounters in it. Which exact tasks that will feature it is currently unknown. Come back to learn which ones have Tandemaus in it so you can try to get that 3 family Maushold. There will be a collection challenge that rewards you stardust and great balls.

Field research tasks

The field research tasks have been given out, and they give out the following:

Free timed research

A timed research is out while the event is happening and it is split into two different parts after part 1. In total, there are 3 parts, but what you will get from part 2 to 3 depends on what you decide after completing Part 1.

Beloved Buddies: Part 1

Beloved Buddies: Extra steps

After completing the timed research, a reward can be claimed. The reward is 2500 XP and 2000 stardust

Collection Challenge

During the event, you can try to complete 3 collection challenges. All 3 give out 15 Great Balls and 3000 Stardust. So in total, you can get 45 Great Balls and 9000 Stardust if you complete them all. In Challenge 1, you need to catch a cutiefly and a fomantis. In Challenge 2, you need to catch a shellder and a slowpoke. And lastly in challenge 3, you need to catch a diglett and a dunsparce.
